Favorite Gems of San Miguel de Allende - Brunch Edition
San Miguel de Allende has become a top destination in Mexico. A quick flight from Houston (IAH) to Queretaro (QRO) Mexico. Jump on a luxury bus, charge your devices, and relax to San Miguel.
Here is a list of my favorite places to grab breakfast or brunch in San Miquel de Allende
Rustica – Rustica Instagram a little bit of a walk which we loved seeing more local fair. Walk past the Rosewood hotel about half mile. Looks like an old building surrounded by trees in a busy area. WOW, when you get to the back very quiet and nice outside seating. We really loved the food. Lots of locals and ex-pats.
El Correa – El Correa Info is off the square. Very small, limited seating. Suggest go early by 9 am before crowd fills up. It is very convenient to start the day. Must have: the fried apples. The spread is colorful, tasty and very instagramable.
Rosewood Hotel brunch – Rosewood Four Seasons SMA Suggest reservations. Higher-end and outstanding service. Request outside dining in the courtyard. Food was over the top and excellent. Worth it. We toured the hotel property and art after (so worth it). I may have brought back illegal plants in my carry on.
El Pegeas – El Pegeas Info for casual roof top brunch. A lot of Americana fare. May have to ask to open roof top seating. Good people watching with views of the area.
Cumpanio – Cumpanio if El Correa is too busy. Good baked goods. From Latin “with whom, bread is shared.” Share a mimosa too. Good vibe. Sit up front. Can get baked goods to go for the lazy mornings in hotel room or villa. Coffee is a big plus.
Matilda Moxi Hotel – Menu was simple. Moxi sit by pool. The vibe was very Hollywood classical (great spa here too).
Most hotels have outstanding breakfast and brunch options. Dive in and enjoy!
Bakeries/Panderia – Found several bakeries near while walking the cobbled stone streets. Poke your head in and smell the fresh bread and flavors. Like the USA, go where you see the policia eating.
