Here are my favorite things about cold weather.  Share your favorites.

1. Snuggling in the morning after a “two-dog” night.  I love letting our fur babies in bed on cold nights and snuggling on lazy weekend mornings. 

2. The cool side of the pillow.  During the night or early morning, flipping the pillow to the opposite side for a refreshing cool side of the pillow.  Try it.

3. Cold wake up.  The time you open the shower door after a hot shower. That blast of cold air before you grab the bath towel.  It is better than a cup of coffee to wake you up!  I truly love it!

4. Hot cup of coffee.  Enjoying a hot cup of coffee while ready the Houston Chronicle. In the evening add a little Bailey's Original Irish Cream for a pop!  Substitute Ghirardelli Hot Cocoa for the sweet tooth.  

5. All my favorite holidays.  All my favorite holidays are during cooler weather including Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s Day, and Valentine’s Day.

6. Flannel.  Love wearing flannel lounge wear, shirts, and sheets. 

7. Homemade Chili.  Hot chili and add Fritos Corn Chips, Daisy Sour Cream, shredded cheddar cheese, and green onions on top. 

8. Fireplace.  Reading a book or watching a movie in front of a roaring fireplace. Throw another log on the fire. 

9. Sweaters and Jackets.  I may not own a lot of cold weather attire but oh wow, I love a nice sweater and a beefed-up sports jacket by J Hilburn.     

10. Receiving holiday cards.  Please do not let this tradition stop. Each year, I love reading cards on Christmas Eve and rating each card (in a loving way).
